It mobilises and gently sweeps your inner pathways of subtle and, not so subtle, junk and hoarding.

The Suryā Gāyatri or Savitri Gāyatri (The Lord of the Sun) is one of the great gāyatrī mantras of the Vedic tradition of India. From the ancient scripture the Ṛg-veda, it’s said to condense the complete power of that quality which is invoked in the form of sound, or resonance. And, so, it’s infused with great transformative potential. Formulated as prayer, these mantra possess great intention.
When we repeat these mantras as a sincere, focused practice (hence the 40 days of this circle), we pray to be empowered, inspired, illumined, able to experience and recognise the qualities of the supreme light within us.
That means, experiencing the self as divine Consciousness, an intelligence that pervades all of creation.

40 days is auspicious. It establishes you in the resonance and pattern of the practice for sustained benefit.
It is recommended to establish you in the greatest resonance and benefit of the practice to do 40 consecutive days. That means, if you miss a day, you get to go back to day one and start again. What a boon! Only you will know…
Even better, there is the benefit of beginners mind! Whether this is your first mantra group or hundredth it does not matter. You are instructed in the pronounciation and how to establish your practice. You are supported with recordings and course materials. Your intention is what truly matters and this is what bears the greatest fruit.
You may wish to use prayer beads, mālā beads or rosary beads as a counting device to support your personal daily practice. This is purely optional. You can also use a timer on a phone or device to support you too.
As this is a self-paced journey, you’ll be practicing in your own space and time. Find a quiet spot where you feel undisturbed — somewhere your family or others won’t interrupt or overhear you. This is your time to be with your own sound, privately and gently. No one else will hear you.
Depending on the speed of your repetition, it generally takes 15-20 minutes for your daily practice.
